Got my VizBug

Postby Steve in Maine on Mon May 12, 2008 5:38 pm

Just received my VizBug from Tom, k4viz. I am totally excited about it! It is extremely easy to use, even tho I have never touched a bug before. Very impressive looking, heavy, precise mechanism, and really fun to use. After an hour or so of practice, I am abt to put it on the air. No problem sending down to 18 wpm. A simple Google search will take you to the VizBug website.

It needs one more thing...a nice, fitted, plexiglas dustcover. I suggsted it to Tom.

My Vizbug arrived yesterday and I am most pleased. First look says *craftsmanship*. Foot-print is smaller than my Vibroplex Anniversary key and is much quieter as well; an important selling point to me. Dealing with Tom was a pleasure. He responded to my emails very quickly, answered all my questions. Although I have not had the chance to really put the bug thru it's paces yet, my experience so far has been nothing but outstanding.

Of the various right angle bugs, I always thought the Codetrol was the finest appearing. However, thay are basically unavailable.

I am so pleased with my VizBug that I would only wish to improve upon it. I am not interested in replacing it.

In that vein, I have considered making a brass box cover for the works. But, the idea of a properly designed plastic cover is appealing also, as it would show the works in use.
